Özet

The research project titled "Manufacturing Practices of Medical Instruments in Innovation Clusters: A Comparative Study of Tuttlingen, Sialkot, and Samsun" (acronym: MediCluster) focuses on the production and innovation of medical instruments in three significant global innovation clusters: Tuttlingen in Germany, Sialkot in Pakistan, and Samsun in Türkiye. It examines the interactions among local production practices, digital transformation processes, and global innovation dynamics within regional innovation cultures. The project will explore how the global division of labor, value chains, and political economies affect the development of medical instrument manufacturing and innovation practices. It incorporates insights from Science and Technology Studies (STS), the sociology of work and organizations, and innovation research.

MediCluster is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation)- # 551920228
